Full Metal Kaiju Hunters Equipment Loadouts & Strike Packages

Turn Nuclear Air Strike and support gear into clean boss opens for every Jaeger.

Equipment Loadouts

Equipment is the hidden half of every Full Metal Kaiju Hunters build. A Prestige Cherno Alpha still stalls if you walk into a Hong Kong boss with empty strike slots, and a fast Midnight Winter still benefits from a well-timed nuke when bleed alone is not enough. This page explains how to think about equipment loadouts—especially Nuclear Air Strike and the bomber / bunker / helicopter support family—so your Jaeger choice from the Jaeger Roster actually performs in missions.

Return to the Jaegers hub when you need the full build map, and keep Perks and Upgrades open so equipment and perk boards rise together.

What equipment does in Full Metal Kaiju Hunters

Beyond fists and onboard weapons, the game lets you call external strike support. Showcase tours call out tools such as:

  • Nuclear Air Strike
  • Bunker Buster
  • B2 / B1 bomber packages
  • Attack helicopter support
  • Strafing runs

These are not cosmetics. They are tempo tools: openers, panic buttons, and phase breakers when a kaiju flies, buries, or outpaces your walk speed. Cherno Alpha pilots feel this most—slow frames convert strike timing into saved minutes.

Nuclear Air Strike — priority package

Nuclear Air Strike is the headline equipment for a reason. It is commonly discussed with a higher level requirement (around level 20 in community showcases) or a Robux skip. Once owned, treat it as part of your default boss kit.

Best uses:

  1. Boss openers — Soften a full health bar before you finish the slow walk-in.
  2. Panic stabilize — When a phase goes wrong and you need damage without winning a melee scramble.
  3. First-clear insurance — Learning Hong Kong patterns is easier when you have a reset button.
  4. Flyer pressure — Help finish targets that refuse to sit in Tesla Fist range.

Bad habits:

  • Saving the nuke “for later” until you are already defeated
  • Firing it into empty space because you panicked the aim timing
  • Assuming Nuclear Air Strike replaces block fundamentals

Pair Cherno + nuke using notes from the Cherno Alpha Guide. Pair any top frame using Best Jaegers.

Other strike tools and when they matter

Bunker Buster

Great when you want concentrated structural punishment rather than a wide nuclear flex. Use it on targets that feel armor-heavy or when you are practicing non-nuke openers.

Bomber packages (B1 / B2 style support)

Bombers shine as scheduled pressure. If a mission gives you predictable windows—enemy planted, objective static, boss mid-animation—call the bomber so your Jaeger can stay focused on melee positioning.

Attack helicopter and strafing runs

These support tools help when you need ongoing harassment instead of one giant boom. Fast frames like Midnight Winter can use them to lock a kite pattern while M1 bleed does the real work. Slow tanks can use them to punish a boss that keeps sliding out of fist range.

You do not need every package upgraded on day one. Own one reliable primary strike (usually Nuclear Air Strike) and one flexible secondary before you collect the whole hanger.

Loadout templates by Jaeger fantasy

Prestige tank (Cherno Alpha)

  • Primary: Nuclear Air Strike
  • Secondary: Flame-friendly support or bunker tool for stubborn targets
  • Perk sync: Mag Lock Anchors so knockback does not cancel your post-strike melee window
  • Goal: Plant, strike, Tesla Fist finish

Mid enforcer (November Ajax)

  • Primary: Nuclear Air Strike once available; strong conventional strike before that
  • Secondary: Strafing / helicopter for control
  • Goal: Use equipment to create openings for Enforcer / Tesla follow-ups

Stylish hunter (Obsidian Fury / Saber Athena)

  • Primary: Nuclear Air Strike
  • Secondary: Bomber package for mission flair and real damage
  • Goal: Keep clear speed worthy of the Tier List hype

Speed bleed (Midnight Winter)

  • Primary: Flexible strike (nuke still excellent)
  • Secondary: Strafing tools that support chase patterns
  • Goal: Equipment covers the moments your M1 string gets interrupted

Apex late unlock

  • Primary: Nuclear Air Strike mandatory for serious boss work
  • Secondary: Whatever filled gaps while you climbed to 22+
  • Goal: Do not arrive at Apex with a blank equipment board

Leveling equipment alongside the roster

A clean progression line looks like this:

  1. Learn missions with whatever starter support you have.
  2. Push Jaeger unlocks on the Jaeger Roster (Ajax 14+, Athena 17+).
  3. Prioritize Nuclear Air Strike around its gate (~20) or purchase path.
  4. Sync perk investment on Perks and Upgrades.
  5. Only then judge whether Apex at 22+ is your next power fantasy.

Equipment progression that lags five levels behind your Jaeger unlocks creates fake tier conclusions. “Ajax feels mid” sometimes means “Ajax had no strike support,” not “Ajax is weak.”

Mission-type loadout advice

Trash clear / XP farms

Keep a light equipment plan. You may not need a nuke every pack. Save cooldowns for elites that threaten the farm loop.

Named kaiju (Onibaba, Knifehead-style fights)

Have the strike ready, but try to win primarily on Jaeger weapons. Use equipment when a mistake costs half your health or when the target starts a nasty reposition.

Hong Kong bosses

Assume you will use Nuclear Air Strike. Pre-plan the button. Cherno players especially should decide before deploy whether the nuke opens the fight or answers the first flight phase.

Equipment and perks are one system

Enhanced Stabilizers get you back into melee after a heavy hit. Mag Lock Anchors keep the post-nuke fist window real. Titanium Ribbing stops a single bad trade from ending the run that your strike just paid for. Read Perks and Upgrades immediately after this page so loadouts and perk boards stop being separate hobbies.

Common equipment mistakes

  1. Owning Nuclear Air Strike but never equipping it
  2. Spending Robux on Apex before owning a primary strike plan
  3. Using every bomber on the first enemy in a mission
  4. Ignoring aim / timing practice in low-stakes fights
  5. Building three partial packages instead of one complete boss kit

Practice drills

  • Deploy into a normal mission with the rule: one intentional strike use, no panic spam.
  • Repeat a boss attempt where the nuke always opens on a countdown you choose in advance.
  • Run a Cherno session where Mag Lock Anchors plus post-nuke Tesla Fist is the only success condition.
  • Compare clear times with and without equipment; write down the difference so you stop undervaluing strikes.

Final loadout checklist

Before you queue:

  1. Primary strike equipped (Nuclear Air Strike when available)
  2. Secondary support chosen for the mission type
  3. Perks synced for recovery and knockback control
  4. Jaeger choice matches the plan on Best Jaegers
  5. You know whether today is XP, Prestige, or boss practice

Equipment will not replace a bad Jaeger matchup forever, but it will make every good matchup from the Jaegers hub hit harder, safer, and faster.
