What you are signing up for

Expect mech combat, equipment call-ins, DNA upgrades, and Prestige as permanent growth. You will hear names like Cherno Alpha, November Ajax, Obsidian Fury, Saber Athena, Apex, and Midnight Winter. Bosses include Otachi, Leatherback, Slattern, Mega Kaiju, Knifehead, and Onibaba. Maps range from Prologue and Hong Kong to Neo Tokyo, Siberia, The Breach, BloxYork, Mega Tokyo, and Australia.

Your job as a new pilot is not to beat Mega Kaiju on day one. Your job is to finish Prologue cleanly, learn a control language, and earn coins/DNA without rage-rerolling loadouts every five minutes.

First launch checklist

1. Launch from the official Roblox experience page and let assets load fully — alpha hitching is worse if you mash inputs during streaming.
2. Complete Prologue objectives instead of sprinting past prompts.
3. Note how your Jaeger turns, strikes, and recovers after big hits.
4. Open whatever upgrade/Prestige UI your build exposes and locate DNA and coin sinks — do not spend yet.
5. Play two easy maps after Prologue before touching a named boss.

Prologue: treat it like boot camp

Prologue exists to teach camera, spacing, and threat telegraphs. Players who skip mental notes here pay for it in Hong Kong. Watch how Kaiju wind up before grabs or charges. Practice moving laterally instead of only backward. If the game offers equipment demos, use them once on purpose so you learn cooldown feel.

Pick a starter mindset, not a “perfect” Jaeger

Early alpha unlocks and balances can shift, so prioritize comfort:

Controls before cosmetics

Read Combat Controls as soon as Prologue ends. At minimum you need:

• A reliable strike rhythm
• A dodge/reposition habit when telegraphs appear
• An equipment hotkey you will not fat-finger
• Awareness of when Flame Turbine, Enforcer, or Tesla Fist should be your primary pressure tool

If you cannot describe your last death in one sentence (“grabbed while reloading Air Strike”), you are not ready for Prestige optimization yet.

Early currency rules (no codes)

• DNA — spend into survivability if you die often; spend into damage if you clear maps but kill slowly.
• Coins — save toward Prestige (~5000 coins for ~5% permanent stats) once basics feel solid. See How to Prestige.

Your first three sessions

Session 1 — Survive and observe

Maps: Prologue → Hong Kong or Neo Tokyo.

Goals: finish without panic mashing; name one enemy telegraph you now recognize; die fewer times each run.

Session 2 — Build a tiny kit identity

Choose one weapon path (Tesla Fist, Enforcer, or Flame Turbine) and one equipment you actually remember to use. Farm DNA with a loop from How to Farm DNA. Stop the session if you are tilting — bad DNA spends happen when you are annoyed.

Session 3 — Boss curiosity, not boss ego

Perks that save beginners

When perk choices appear, early value often comes from not getting deleted:

• Enhanced Stabilizers — steadier handling when fights get messy
• Titanium Ribbing — more forgiveness on chip and body blows
• Mag Lock Anchors — help against grab/shove styles that end runs instantly

Mental model for alpha

Expect rough edges. Animations, balancing, and UI labels can change between sessions. Write down what you observed today (“Otachi grab starts with X”) rather than memorizing a year-old blog. Tragic Works Discord is the living patch channel; this wiki translates stable systems into readable routes.

First Prestige preview (do not rush)

You will eventually pay about 5000 coins for roughly 5% permanent stats. That spike feels best when your hands already know the kit. If Session 2 still feels clumsy, keep farming DNA and maps. Prestige multiplies skill; it does not create it. Full timing advice is in How to Prestige.

Safety and account hygiene

Never enter your password on “free Jaeger code” sites. Full Metal Kaiju Hunters will not ask for your Roblox login outside Roblox. Script promises are a separate topic and are not required for this beginner path.
